From Detection to Remediation: What Happens After an Alert Fires

Finding a skimmer is step one. Here's the workflow ExploitShield gives you to confirm, contain, and remove a live client-side threat.

When an alert fires, the first thing you need is proof. Every ExploitShield finding ships with the evidence chain: the offending request, the script that initiated it, the page where it loaded, and the exact time it appeared.

Containment comes next. The evidence tells you whether the malicious code is your own injected file, a compromised third-party script, or a tag-manager entry — and that determines whether you patch, roll back, or revoke a vendor.

Once you have removed the code, ExploitShield verifies the fix. The next scan re-checks the same path and confirms the exfiltration behavior is gone, closing the loop instead of leaving you to guess.

Finally, the timeline becomes your record. Each finding, its evidence, and its resolution stay in your history — useful for incident reports, for proving due diligence to a payment processor, or for spotting a repeat compromise pattern.
